Rick Nader

Principal Consultant, Global Proposal Solutions

Rick has 35 years of experience developing teams and writing proposals to federal, private, and corporate foundations as well as to international funding sources. He has helped hundreds of faculty become competitive. Rick has significantly contributed to over $100M in external awards across a broad range of funding agencies: NSF, NIH, DoD, Department of Education, State Department, USAID, Department of Health and Human Services, and NEH, among others.

Rick has experience leading Strategic Planning for Research, Technology Transfer, global research development and comprehensive internationalization while serving at major R1 universities, as well as primarily undergraduate institutions, HBCU’s, and assisiting HSIs and MSIs. He previously served as an East Asia program manager at the Office of International Science and Engineering at the National Science Foundation. He has served as PI and Co-PI on NSF, Department of Education, State Department, as well as private funding.

Rick’s experience includes designing and delivering workshops on how to be successful in competing for grants and contracts, what makes for a successful international research or development proposal, understanding the review process, and determining how to assess declined proposals.

Rick has a BA in English, a Master’s degree in Public Administration, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration.
